Abstract (EN)
Participation banks are financial institutions that provide customers not opt to benefit banking products and services that have a interest element in them to carry out banking transactions. These organizations are increasingly prevalent worldwide, including in Turkey. However, the general demand for participation banking products and services is not at the desired levels. The lack of awareness, inadequate promotion, limited product and service knowledge, and low number of branches can be attributed to the insufficient perception, attitude, and knowledge level regarding participation banking. This study aims to determine the perception, attitude and knowledge level of university students about participation banking. Another aim of this study is to determine whether there are significant differences between the demographic characteristics of university students and their perceptions, attitudes and knowledge levels regarding participation banking. According to the data obtained, significant differences were found between the demographic characteristics of university students such as their age, the faculties they enrolled in and their monthly income, and their answers to the survey questions.
