Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine the relationship between university students' psychological resilience, burnout, and emotional intelligence levels. The data collection tool used to collect data on the psychological resilience variable was the "Psychological Resilience Scale for Adults," adapted into Turkish by Basım and Çetin (2011). The data collection tool used to collect data on the burnout variable was the "Burnout Scale Short Version," adapted into Turkish by Çam and Çavuşoğlu (2009), and the data collection tool used to collect data on the emotional intelligence variable was the "Emotional Intelligence Scale." Çam, and Çavuşoğlu in 2009, and the "Mental Intelligence Characteristics Scale," adapted into Turkish by Karadeniz and Aydın (2016), was used to collect data related to the mental intelligence variable. Within this scope, the differentiation of psychological resilience, burnout, and mental intelligence variables according to gender was examined using the t-test for unrelated samples. The data revealed that women had higher levels of burnout and psychological resilience than men, while no significant difference was found in mental intelligence. The correlation analysis conducted to examine the relationship between variables revealed a moderately significant negative relationship between psychological resilience level and burnout level. A low level of positive correlation was found between psychological resilience level and emotional intelligence level, while no significant correlation was found between burnout level and emotional intelligence level. A multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to examine the predictive power of burnout and emotional intelligence levels on psychological resilience levels. The results revealed that the highest predictor was burnout level (β = -0.376), followed by emotional intelligence level (β = 0.249). The obtained data were discussed in light of the information in the literature, and suggestions were made for future studies. Keywords: Psychological resilience, hardness, psychological toughness, burnout, spiritual intelligence
