Examining the relationship between university students' attitudes towards sports and their quality of life and academic motivation levels

The aim of our research is to examine the attitudes of students at Bingöl University Faculty of Sports Sciences towards sports, their quality of life and academic motivation. The population of the research was comprised of 780 students studying at Bingöl University Faculty of Sports Sciences in the 2021-2022 academic year. The increase in the sample was made up of 500 people selected. As data collection tools in the research; Attitude scale towards sports, Quality of life scale and Academic motivation scale were used. IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) 22 statistical package program was used in the analysis of the data. The normal distribution of the data obtained was determined. While t-test was used for independent groups in pairwise comparisons, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used in multiple comparisons, and LSD (Least Significant Difference) test was used to detect differences. Pearson Clash of Moments Correlation Analysis was started to reveal the relationship of the data obtained from the scales. A value of p<0.05 was accepted. In conclusion; We can state that it shows a moderately significant relationship between the concepts of quality of life, academic motivation and attitudes towards sports.
