Abstract (EN)

Apart from its importance that has been ongoing for centuries, in recent years, storytelling has become popular in fields that are important to the business world such as management-organization, marketing, and communication. This concept, which is the basis of humankind, is used for many different purposes today. Therefore, this concept adopted by the business world has increased its importance academically. Storytelling, which has become increasingly popular in the literature, is the subject of research in tourism as well. The memorable tourism experience is the result of changing tourist perceptions, and expectations in recent years. It was seen that; many researchers in the literature handled the memorable tourism experience concept. The memorable tourism experience means reaching to summit emotionally and mentally for tourists. In the storytelling process, there must be a summit worth telling between the beginning and the end. Based on this idea, the aim of the research is whether memorable tourism experiences are a summit to worth telling or not in the tourist's storytelling process. The universe of the thesis is the domestic tourists in Turkey who have joined a package tour program. A total of 250 valid questionnaires were obtained from the respondents. The obtained data were analyzed by conducting factor analysis (EFA and CFA), reliability, regression, and mediating effect analyses. The results show that memorable tourism experience has a mediating effect on the effect of narrative transportation on storytelling.
