Abstract (EN)

In today's industrial world where competition is of the highest importance it's compulsory for companies to make alterations in their managerial techniques in order to survive. Organizations have to determine ways of dealing with globally leading companies and ways of applying globally used managerial approaches. The technique of benchmarking is used for comparison of processes and results of the firm form the perspective of efficiency and effectiveness with other firms and also for determination of the best applications and making necessary changes to retain that level. Benchmarking is the measurement of products, services and applications visavis companies which are industry leaders. Organizations may gain compatitives edge by means of benchmarking for long term. Benchmarking is involved in total quality management and it's one of most powerful quality means. Most companies reach quality improvement process by means of certain tools. Benchmarking might provide very noticeable improvements in the key processes of the company. Benchmarking may bring processes turning time reduction, total performance perfection, improvement of efficiency and quality and reduction in production costs. Together with these it may contribute to improvement of non-financial issues such as product-service, selling, profit, cost, client satisfaction. Companies applying this method world-wide have reached important degree cost reduction. Although the technique of benchmarking is not widely used in our country there are big companies applying it. In order for our companies to survive in the global competition it's vital for them to apply new managerial systems.
