Education of top-stage public administrators: A model recommendation

In order to ensure an effective management in the public sector, public administrators must be qualified. Education has a special importance in ensuring and increasing the quality of public administrators. Especially since the second half of the 20th century, it has been one of the issues that the debates in public administration have intensified. As a result, institutions have been established to train public administrators in many developing and developed countries. However, with the closure of TODAIE, there has been a gap in this regard in our country for about five years. The aim of the study is to make suggestions about the steps to be taken in order to eliminate the said deficiency in our country. For this purpose, what has been done for the training of public administrators throughout Turkish history has been examined, examples of different countries from all over the world, especially from developed countries, have been evaluated, and in the light of all these, a model that can be implemented in the future with the name of "Public Administration Academy" has been proposed.
