Üzeyir Gündüz's educational values in children's books

Children's books have a big share in the development of the child's personality, spirit and consciousness. The development of the child begins in the womb. So the child gets his first education from the family. Personality, spirit, consciousness and structure are built with the foundation stones of the family. Then this formation continues with the school. Through education, the child learns a new language and gains a new identity. Turkish books, literature and children's books have great importance in acquiring this language and identity. The child guides his life through the values he has gained from his family and books. In this study, the educational values in fourteen books of Üzeyir Gündüz, one of the contemporary children's writers; classified as universal, national, religious, personal and are revealed.
