Abstract (EN)
The system developed to meet the wide-time needs of people, to fulfill daily life activities, to meet their basic needs such as health and shelter is called long-term care. Long-term care is given to disabled and elderly individuals. In this study, the long-term care system for the elderly was examined and the examples of countries where this system was applied were examined. The systems implemented by the sample countries have been analyzed. It is thought that long-term elderly care will be even more important in the coming years for countries with an aging trend such as Turkey. For this reason, the long-term care system to be built in Turkey is very important. In this study, the long-term care practices currently in force in Turkey have been and various suggestions have been made for the long-term care system that is likely to be in the future.
