Saadetname of Vahidi (Analysis-text)

Saadetname is an expanded copyright-translation work that was developed by Vahidi in the 16th century from the works named Pand-i Piran whose author is unknown and Tezkiretü'l-Evliya, which is attributed to Abu'l-Leys Semerkandi. Vahidi expanded Saadetname with four sections that he added to these two works, collection of stories consisting of twenty chapters including the exemplary life of the prophets, miracles of the saints, and advices. At the end of the stories, he increased the literary value of Saadetname and developed the work and made it look like a copyright work with verse pieces he wrote, including beyt, kıta, mesnevi, nazm, dübeyt and rhythmic expressions in the prose parts in the introduction and conclusion chapters. "Saadetname of Vahidi (Analysis-Text)" consists of Introduction and the following three sections. After the Introduction chapter where saint tezkires, saint stories and storytelling tradition are examined, the first chapter, which examines the life and works of Vahidi, is written. In the second chapter, language and style of the work discussed and the poems in the work are examined in shaped with the titles of meter and rhyme. In the third and the last chapter, a wide content study was carried out by giving the content of 24 parts of Saadetname, detailed summaries of stories and identities of personal names mentioned in the work. In the Attachments of our study, translated text of Saadetname has given, the issues that have been considered in the form of text and sample leaves have been added.
