Abstract (EN)

Qur'an has been studied since its ascension by lexicographers because of its unique language. The primary aim in these studies is to prove that the language of the Qur'an is superior to any other language. Qur'an is studied in terms of maâni (semantics), bayân (demostration) and badee' (the science of embellishments) which are the subtopics of rhetorics in Arabic. In this work, musnad ilayh (subject), and musnad (predicate), which are some of the fundamentals of maâni, are studied with examples from the surah Al-Waqıah. In content, this work consistsof an introduction and three chapters. In the introduction maâni, bayân and badî' are generally introduced and some information concerning these subjects is provided. In the first two chapters the conditons of musnad and musnad ilayh are examined and in the last chapter these conditions are examined with the examples from the surah Al-Waqıah. The reason why the surah Al-Waqıah is chosen is because it provides numerous examples regarding this subject. In the first two chapters, the controversial points are studied as little as possible. In the last chapter, the musnad ilayh and musnad in the verses are detected and examined from various perspectives. The general texts and articles regarding the subject have been scanned, collected and analysed for his work. The last chapter is the main part of this work. Our explations on the verses do not fully refer to the real meaning of the verses. We need to express that these are just interpretations among many of this kind. Key Words: Musnad ilayh (subject), Musnad (predicate), Zikr (mention), Hazf (apocopating), Taqdeem (presentation), Ta'kheer (delay), Ma'rifah (defınite), Nakrah (indefinite), Surah Al-Waqıah.
