The evaluation of foundations in terms of new approaches and contribution to the Turkey?s governance system

Founded hundrdes years ago in our country, Foundations, besides fulfilling important social and cultural services, has played an important role in economic and managerial fields for the management and running revenue goods. In this sense, especially in the developed countries it is seen that an alternative sector, called the third sector, the volunteer area, nonprofitable sector, and non governmental organization has been growing up rapidly for the last past years.Continue their life together as a community of people and have opportunities to improve welfare levels are needed to become an effective public authority. State?s socil position and functions change inevitably in the changing process and trigers state?s reconstruction. This new understanding of the concept of governance that characterize the scope of management of many actors aim to provide content. Management is a universal phenomenon, although each community has its own social, cultural and economic impact on the structure. Therefore the focus of this study is to evaluate the foundations and management of them in the new management views.This study consists of 3 parts. Definition of foundations and historical process in the first chapter, in the second part the concept of governance and its functions, thirdly; contribution of foundations in Turkey are evaluated in this study.
