Abstract (EN)
In this study, folcloric elements in Vedat Türkali's novels were identified and anlalyzed. Türkali, a versatile artist, is a writer, poet, screenwriter and director. Türkali, one of the important writers of Turkish literature, reflects his ideological attitude in his novels. Born in poor neighborhood far from the center of Samsun, Vedat Türkali reflects the cultural background of the environment he grew up in, to his novels. Vedat Türkali, a social realist writer, tells about the struggle of people living in big cities in his novels. In our study, the novels of Vedat Türkali were anlayzed according to the folklore study stuff. It Has been identified the Vedat Türkali uses folclorik elements in a rich way and gives the messages he wants to give the reader through folcloric elements.
