Abstract (EN)

Taxation, subsidies, benefits and other transfers are used as a policy tool to regulate the labor market. These policies, which are made especially to cover workers with minimum wage, cause serious changes in the labor force participation rate of low-wage employees. Changes in the participation rate determine the state's expenditures for tax revenues, social aid, unemployment benefits and subsidies. These policies, which affect workers working with minimum wage, are important determinants not only in terms of expenditures and income, but also for unemployment, employment and social welfare. Both theoretical and empirical studies have previously observed some of these effects. In this study, the effects of changes in government income taxes, payroll taxes and profit taxes, hiring subsidies and unemployment benefits on the labor market are observed in an economy where the minimum wage is the only wage within the framework of the basic search and matching model. It has been observed that these taxes have a negative effect on the labor market, and the increase in hiring subsidies and unemployment benefits has been found to have an increasing effect on labor force participation.
