Abstract (EN)

It was aimed to determine the effects of flushing, vitamin E + Selenium and eksogen hormone treatments on fertility of Awassi and Redkaraman ewes, survivability and performance of their lambs. In this research, 90 Awassi and 60 Redkaraman ewes and their lambs were used. Vitamin E + Se treatment resulted in a variation of body weights between two genotypes. The onset estrus differences were found significant (p<0.01) between treatment groups. Fertility, multiple birth rates in Awassi and Redkaraman ewes were found 87.78% and 91.67%, 25.32% and 12.73%, respectively. Prolificacy in vitamin E + Se - Hormon - Control groups were found %136, %170 and %125 in Awassi and %118, %183 and %116 in Redkaraman, respectively. Birth weights and weaning weights of Awassi and Redkaraman lambs were found as 3.34 kg and 3.12 kg, 14.43 and 16.63, respectively. Sex and birth type had highly significant (p<0.01) effect on the birth weight while the effect of genotype was found significant on weaning weight. The highest survivability rate at weaning in Awassi and Redkaraman ewes were obtained with vitamin E + Se in supplemented groups. 2002, 84 pages Key Words: progestagen, PMSG, vitamin E + Se, Awassi, Redkaraman
