Abstract (EN)

The biotechnology methods have been replacing the classical industrial methods because of developments in global industrilisation and technology. In the last decades, research in biotechnology is focused on degradation of waste materials and production of new products by using microorganisms. In this thesis, rhamnolipid production of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and its Vitresohcilla hemoglobin (VHb) gene (vgb) transferred recombinant was tested under various conditions.Te results showed that VHb gives the recombinant bacterium an adventage in production of rhamnolipid in the minimal media containing sucrose and glycerol. Due to glucose depressed effect on vgb, increased rhamnolipid production was observed in wild type compared to the recombinant bacterium in the media containing glucose. On the other hand, the recombinant bacteria achieved a better rhamnolipid production in comparison to the wild type in the natural media such as whey and olive oil mill wastewaters.
