Abstract (EN)

This study covers the period dated between the end of the Pleistocene epoch and the beginning of the Holocene epoch in the Volcanic Cappadocia region. This study aims to compile and evaluate the research on human activity areas and the natural environment in line with the mentioned scope. For this aim, surface research in the region, various types of human activity areas detected by surface research, archaeological and archaeometric data obtained from excavated settlements were examined as archaeological data groups. Also, researches such as climate, flora, fauna, geomorphology, hydrography, volcanism, tectonism, raw material resources, pollen analysis were examined in the study as environmental data. These data have been analyzed by converting them into vektör and/or raster data using Geographical Information Systems. It is hoped that the results obtained, will contribute to the understanding of the environmental relations with of the people living in the VKB region in the mentioned date range. With these evaluations, some explanations were tried to be made for questions such as "the interaction of human communities with the environment", "the effect of environmental conditions on the selection of human activity areas", "the effect of environmental conditions on human activities such as nutrition and industries".
