Abstract (EN)
The Diyar Bakr region along with being a passage for all roads going North, South, East and West has immense historical significance as many of these passages are where trade routes intersect each other. Due to this geography of this region was able to host and witness the growth of many different civilizations giving this region a rich past in politics, social economics and culture. The Diyar Bakr region hosted the first Turkmens who came to the Anatolia as well as many different cultures. In the Diyar Bakr region, which contains different elements, the political conflicts that started with the Mongol invasion continued in the following three hundred years and the region remained far from its former prosperous age. Consequently, in the centuries XIII-XVI, the politics of the region turned into chaos and its socio-economic structure was greatly affected. In this study, which has been handled as a "regional history", takes a look at the effects of the events that took place after the Mongolian Invasion and especially the Battle of Kösedağ (1243) as well as the effects experienced in the politics of the region. States such as the Ilkhanids and the Mamluks, which were stronger than the local political organizations of the region, were in field of struggle and the effects of this situation on the region are also discussed. In this context, I will discuss the chaotic political history of the Diyar Bakr region, which started with the the Battle of Kösedağ and entered the Ottoman rule with the Chaldiran Victory. In addition, this study focuses on the historical geography, administrative management and socio-economic structure of the region between the centuries XIII-XVI. During this period of great demographic changes and transformations there was a population density in the region, especially due to the recent Turkmen immigration. Subsequently, it was observed that the Kurdish population started to increase with the reverse migration of Qara Qoyunlus and Aq Qoyunlus
