Özet (EN)

The Ottoman Empire, which established the largest and most powerful state in Turkish-Islamic history, revealed the most original structures of culture and civilization during its long domination period. The temettuat registers, which emerged as a tax collection method in the last periods of the Ottoman Empire, whose economic structures were very characteristic and special, became one of the most important indicators of this unique image. After the declaration of the Tanzimat Reform, the Ottoman Empire made radical changes in the tax system. There have been some important innovations by making arrangements in the old taxes. At the beginning of these taxes, a new tax was created with the name of "dividend" tax method, which took its name from the recorded book. In these registers, which contain the socio-economic structure of the Ottoman Empire in the 19th century, there are various information about the economic and commercial status of the population, land structure, agricultural production, livestock activities and social configurations. These archive documents, which illuminate the social image of the last period of the Ottoman Empire in the light of all the information they contain, have a very important place. With the information they contain, temettuat books continue to be an indispensable resource in historical research. In my study, the transcription and evaluation of the temettuat registers belonging to Aksaz, Sogut, Beciler, Yaglar, Iciler villages of Simav district of Kutahya Sanjak and the Beyliks Farm in the middle of the 19th century were made. Keywords: 19th century, Akyaz, Beciler, Beyliks Farm, İciler, Simav District, Social, Sogut, Tax, Temettuat, Yaglılar
