Abstract (EN)
The Rescript of Gulhane became the turning point in the history of reformist and regulative activities in the Ottaman State. It was aimed with the help of regulations in economical field that the finance office would be centralized, taxes would be gathered without an agentconsidering the income of people and the variety of taxes would be reduced. Temettuat record books, tax recording, for determining new taxes of taxpayers were prepared counting incomes, properties and animals of people. These record books prepared between 1260 and 1261according to the Hegira Calendar were the most important sources to determine demographic, social and economic conditions of residential districts. This study consisted of investigating the Temettuat Record Books recorded between 1844 and 1845 of some certain villages such as Burhanlar, Fıranlar, Göçebe, Güney, Karamanlar, Kozcağız, Kozluca, Ömerler and Yörgüç, which belonged to Domanic town of Hudavendigar Province. The Data obtained by transcribing record boks were evaluated with charts and diagrams. In the middle of the XIX th Century, economical structures of villages, which belonged to Domanic Town, completely depended on agriculture and stockraising. Agricultural incomes included the 83 percent of annual revenue of people. Agricultural activities were held only for receiving the need of people. 52,4 percent of the whole fields were planted and 95 percent of them were cereals. Besides agriculture, revenue was obtained from agricultural workmanship such as timber, shovel trading, being manservant, shepherd and being reaper.
