İslamic expressions in 15'th Ottoman poetry

İslam and its culture are the primary sources that Ottoman poetry was benefited and drew its strength. In this study, the importance of the Islamic factors which is used in Ottoman poetry of the 15th century in Ottoman poetry and Islamic belief was tried to be shown. For this reason, factors that belong to Islamic mysticism and philosophy were tried to excluded and those which do not have a place in the verses and hadiths were not generally used. In this study, at least one work and essentially the divans of more than thirty poets and initially of those who are sultan poets and great poets of Anatolia, Chagatay and Azeri were reviewed. In this study, examples of Ottoman poetry from the 15th century were determined, Islamic phrases and elements related to Islam were indicated with the poem in which they are present, and information about the Islamic material determined was given. Among the material gathered, the similar ones, the ones that are possible to be mentioned in others, and the ones which have potential to increase the volume of the study extremely were excluded from the material list. The meaning of the determined elements in verses and hadiths, their relation to other Islamic concepts, their roots, and the usage frequency were tried to be explained.
