ABSTRACTÖzgecan Köker, The Relations between Ottoman Empire and Dubrovnik in the 17th century and the transcription of Ahkâm Defteri dated 1627-1646.The purpose of this study is to examine the relations between Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Dubrovnik at the beginning of the 17th century based on archives. Düvel-i Ecnebiye Defteri 14/2 was used as the primary reference source. This source is labelled as Venetian-Dubrovnik Book at the Ottoman Archive of Premiership. However, Dubrovnik has the leading role in judgements. Venice is mentioned only when the problems are related to Venice. In our study, it is tried to be determined in which fields the relations took place and the dimensions of the political relations, and the profits which were gained by both sides due to the status of haracguzar of the Rebublic of Dubrovnik, thanks to our primary source. All these have been evaluated in accordance with the conditions of the period within the region in question.
