Seasons in 18th century classical Turkish poetry

Seasonal factors have important a place in 18 th Century Classical Turkish Poetry. Seasons in people's daily life are among the factors that affect individuals at many points from their living standards to their psychology and even their intellectual characteristics. Poets were under the influence of enviromental factors in their works in the period and conditions in which they live. In this study, seasons at 18 TH Century Classical Turkish Poetry and the impact of seasonsal factors, elements of metaphor and its effect was viewed as four main topics as spring, summer, winter and autumn and in adition as sub titles nevbahar and nawruz. 18 TH Century Divan (all poems written and sorted by same poet) of thirty poets, who came to prominence from the poets who lived in this century, were selected as samples, and these divans were scanned with the plug-in method in the context of seasonal elements and classified under the titles of the study. In this scope of work, divans which came to prominence from the thirty poets who belonged to in 18 TH Century Classical Turkish Literature, were selected as sample, and these poems were looked through card indexing technique in the context of seasonal elements and classified under the titles of the study. The method of this study is the situation researh method and the couplets and poems about the seasonal elements in the divan look through within the scope of the study are classified and explained for the purpose of the study.
