Use of computer technology i̇n teachi̇ng French as a forei̇gn language

Nowadays, technology has been developing very rapidly. This rapid development has an impact on education. With the help of technology, a new educational material has been developed everyday. Since these new technological materials make education more efficient, we start off with the question of how we can benefit from this technology and we try to explore the use of technology in foreign language teaching in this study. Firstly it would be useful to start this research with the historical development of foreign language education. To know the positive or negative aspects of the methods used in the historical process, to know why people abandoned the use of that methods, and to show how the methods that are still being used have changed from past to present are important topics that determine the way we will study. In addition to knowing the historical processes of foreign language teaching methods, it is necessary to know how to use computers and other technological tools and to have knowledge of computer hardware and programs in order to use technology-supported education of foreign language. Therefore, we will try to give information about the historical development of the computer, the place and the use of the computer in education, and computer technology. After giving information about foreign language teaching and the use of computer technology, we have discussed how we will use these technologies and which language teaching methods we will use together with these technologies. While doing so, we will use our materials and methods in foreign language classes and we will give the results with examples by observing the results of the experiments and by discussing the negative and positive effects of these methods and materials on the students.
