Vocabulary strategies utilized by Chinese students who learn Turkish as a foreign language

The words form an important part of the language. The aim of this research is to investigate and determine the vocabulary learning strategies used by Chinese students while learning Turkish as a foreign language. In the study, gender, age, education level, etc. factors were examined, according to these factors whether strategies differ in Turkish learning. In the study, the quantitative method was used to examine the data obtained by the questionnaire that be applied to the Chinese students in the Turkish Language and Literature department of the universities in China. The questionnaire applied in the research was analyzed with the SPSS 25 (Statistic Package for Social Science) program, which was created by developing the questionnaires used in different studies. It is thought that the research will contribute experimentally to teaching Turkish as a foreign language. The most used vocabulary learning strategy and the least used while Chinese students learning Turkish will be tried to determine. It will be studied to determine whether there is a significant difference between the uses of strategies according to gender and age variable. Observation will be made for determine which Turkish language learning skill is the most difficult for Chinese students to learn Turkish.
