Vocabulary teaching with interactive word wall in teaching Turkish as foreign language

The purpose of this study is to introduce interactive vocabulary walls which are an effective and useful teaching tool for teaching vocabulary in teaching Turkish to foreigners and to give examples of interactive word wall activities for instructives. Basic qualitative pattern research method was used in the scope of the research. The data used in the research consisted of words in Kesit Publications, Journey to Turkish A1 Course and workbooks. The words in the books were determined on a unit basis and selected for interactive word wall activities based on expert opinion. Interactive word wall is created for each unit with selected words in the data. In addition, interactive word wall activities which are suitable for unit gains are presented. With the words selected from the data, interactive word wall and its activities suitable for unit gains are presented for each unit. In this research, interactive word walls are explained in detail and their activities are embodied with visual shapes and tables. In this context, it is thought that this research will shed light on the instructives working in the field of teaching Turkish to foreigners. Furthermore, this study will serve as an example for the use and investigation of the interactive word wall described in different course contents.
