Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study named ?Characters and Characterization in the Novels by Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu? is to examine the characters in the novels by Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu, one of the most famous writers of the republic period. The characters are analyzed in terms of their personalities and roles in the particular novels. In the light of these characters, the similarities and differences among people creating the Turkish society during the course of time are established as well. In addition, it is also put forward how and in what ways and which personality characteristics of the Turkish people has been reflected in the novels by Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu.
