Abstract (EN)

Known as one of the socialist and contemporary story writers, Yalçın Tosun is one of the successful story writers of Turkish literature. The author is known for his striking stories that deal with social problems and topics that are reluctant to talk about. In this study, five story books published by Yalçın Tosun, who is alive and continues to produce works, were examined. The stories were examined in terms of the intense theme of violence they contain. The aim of the study is to determine and interpret how psychological, physical, sexual and economic violence in the stories is handled. While conducting these studies, psychology, sociology, law and philosophy sciences were used in terms of their connection with violence. The author, who deals with the phenomenon of violence, which is a social and individual problem, from the perspective of a lawyer, in his stories, observed the problems of the period he lived in and transferred them to his stories. The excess of the violent elements detected in Yalçın Tosun's stories compared to the total of the themes in all his stories enabled some conclusions to be reached in the study. The author attaches importance to criticizing violence, one of the visible and ignored problems of his age, through his stories. Keywords: Family, Peer bullying, Story ,Violence, Yalçın Tosun.
