The memoirs of Yamulki-Zade Abdülaziz during the late Ottoman period (Transcription and evaluation, pages 1-30)

Abdulaziz Yamulki (1890-1981) was born in Mecca. His father, who was recorded in history as (Nimrud) Kurd Mustafa Pasha, was a well-known statesman of the late Ottoman period with his negative actions and activities. Abdulaziz, the only male child of the Yamulki family, witnessed many events in the last twenty years of the Ottoman Empire and wrote down the events they witnessed as memoirs much later. After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, this family left the country. The Yamulki family, who settled in Iraq, served as diplomats in various governments established there. In this study, Abdulaziz Yamulki tried to record the events of the late Ottoman Empire in Ottoman Turkish in the form of memoirs. This study consists of the transcription and evaluation of pages 1-30 of Abdulaziz Yamulki's 65-page memoir. This page range covers the period until Abdulhamid II was dethroned. In these memoirs, Abdulaziz Yamulki, in addition to talking about his childhood and youth, also mentions his father Mustafa Pasha Yamulki's diplomatic work, especially in Iran, and his activities within the Ottoman army. He also addresses political events in Istanbul from different perspectives.
