Abstract (EN)
In this study; an artificial intelligence-based application has been developed to sort insects found in nature according to their families and provide information about their species. "Flutter - Dart" language was used in application development. Working principle of the application; In order to provide information about the photographed insect, critical and decisive points are scanned in the photograph taken. After the scan, the photo is sent to a cloud database. The artificial intelligence that comes into play here tries to provide the closest match between the photograph taken and the images stored in the database. As a result of the matching, the application transfers information about the matching insect in the database to the user. In the transferred information, the degree of similarity of the photograph taken and the image registered in the database is also notified to the user. If the photograph taken has no equivalent in the database, but the user has information about the insect in the photograph taken, he can enter information about the insect in the photograph into the database through the same application. As a result, the application developed in this study contributed to the literature and real-life applications on insect classification.
