Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the attitudes of Turkish teachers about the effects of creative drama method in terms of various variables. The study is a quantitative survey research. The population of the research is composed of 207 Turkish teachers working in Kırşehir province during the 2018-2019 academic year. The sampling method was not used, the entire population has been reached. As a data collection tool, the "Attitude Scale to the Effect of Creative Drama Method" which was developed for this research was used, data were analyzed in SPSS 21 package program. In this study, it was concluded that the "attitude to the teaching / learning process" level was high, "attitude to the students" level was very high, and "attitude to the scale" level was very high, among the sub-factors of the "Attitude Scale to the Effect of Creative Drama Method." It was determined that there were no significant differences between the teachers 'attitudes regarding the effect of creative drama method according to gender, marital status and place of duty variables. It was concluded that there was a significant difference between teachers to the general level of attitude scale and the "attitude to students" levels of the creative drama method according to the teacher's Professional seniority, the level of attitude of teachers with lower Professional seniority was higher than the level of attitude of teachers with higher Professional seniority. It was concluded that there was a significant difference between the general and sub-factors of the attitude scale regarding the effect of creative drama method on whether or not Turkish teachers received drama education, and the level of attitude levels of teachers who received drama education were higher than the level of attitude levels of teachers who did not receive drama education. It was concluded that there was a significant difference between the general and sub-factors of attitude scale regarding the influence of creative drama method according to perceptions of conventionality / openness to innovations, and that the attitude levels of teachers with the perception that they are open to innovations are higher than the attitude levels of teachers with the perception that they are bound to traditions.
