Abstract (EN)
This research aimed at determining the relationship between creative thinking tendencies of software experts working in the software industry and their career satisfaction was carried out in technology development regions in Ankara. In the literature review, it was seen that creativity emerges after creative thinking and creative thinking is only possible when such a skill is possessed. It is the creative thinking disposition that reveals the creative thinking skill. Based on the idea that individuals with creative thinking disposition plan and develop their careers more accurately, the effect of this disposition on career satisfaction constitutes the subject of the study. Today, the introduction of digital technologies in all areas of life and their interconnectedness is described as digital transformation in the world, and it is called Industry 4.0 in the industrial field and Society 5.0, which includes all of life. It can be thought that the rapid change brought by this transformation to the working life will affect the careers and career satisfaction of individuals within the new professions that emerge with the creative thinking tendencies. In the research part of this study, where the thesis that creative thinking disposition has an effect on career satisfaction is discussed, a questionnaire has been applied to the software specialist employees of software companies located in Technology Development Regions in Ankara. Marmara Creative Thinking Disposition Scale was used to determine the creative thinking dispositions of the participants, and the Career Satisfaction Scale was used to measure the subjective dimension of career satisfaction. At the same time, questions were asked to determine demographic variables. Questionnaires filled out by 378 software experts were evaluated in the study. It has been concluded that the creative thinking dispositions of software experts have a significant effect on career satisfaction. According to the values obtained, it has been concluded that only 13,4 percent of career satisfaction depends on sub dimensions of creative thinking disposition.
