Abstract (EN)

Sabri Özcan San was born in Gümüşhane in 1912. During the First World War invasion of Gümüşhane by Russians on July 19, 1916 was one of the most important developments affected his childhood. Sabri Özcan San, who started his education life in 1919 with the retreat of the Russians, completed his primary and secondary school education in Gümüşhane and then started his teaching career in Gümüşhane after graduated from Trabzon Muallim Mektebi. In 1937, after one year education in Gazi Teachers School and Education Institute he came back to Gümüşhane and continued his profession until 1954 when he was elected a member of parliament. Sabri Özcan San's political activities began in 1946 when he participated in the elections as an independent parliamentary candidate from Gümüşhane. Although he was not successful in this election, he was elected Democrat Party parliament member in 1954 and in 1965 he was elected Gümüşhane parliament member from the Justice Party. In addition to his professional and political works, Sabri Özcan San, who had memberships in various institutions and associations, has become a front-runner with his works he wrote after his parliament membership. Sabri Özcan San, who spent his retirement days in Ankara as an author, died on February 5, 1997, and his funeral was buried in Ankara Cebeci Asri Cemetery.
