Yaşar Nuri Öztürk's understanding of The Qur'an

In this research, we discussed Yaşar Nuri Öztürk's view of the Qur'an in the context of his works. Although Öztürk did not write an independent commentary, he prepared a translation of the Qur'an; he interpreted different verses in many of his works; In some of his works, he also touched on different issues related to the Qur'an. We started our study by talking about the purpose and method of the research. Then we discussed Öztürk's life and works. Then, by examining his works, we tried to reveal his view of the Qur'an. Then, by examining its translation of the Qur'an, we benefited from previous studies on this subject. Then we tried to reveal his approach to Qur'anic sciences and some Qur'anic issues. These issues are; The word "hadith" in the Qur'an the prophet's word, which of the conditions of faith are mentioned in the Qur'an, the abrogation of the verses of the Qur'an, the event of Isra and Mi'raj, whether it is possible to pray with the translation of the Qur'an, zakat, pilgrimage, reincarnation, etc. are subjects. In this study, besides benefiting from Öztürk's works related to our subject, we mostly benefited from the book of Islam in the Qur'an and its translation. We also benefited from the works written as criticism of Öztürk's views so that Öztürk's ideas could be better understood.
