Evaluation of the location of elderly individuals against disasters in terms of social work: the case of COVID-19 and Hacı Muammer Koca Huzurevi yaşlı bakım ve rehabilitasyon merkezi

Covid-19 disease was first seen in Wuhan, China's Hubei province in December 2019 and spread all over the world in a short time. The disease, which has been recorded as an pandemic with the highest rate of spread in the history of the world so far, has turned into a global pandemic in a very short time. With cases occurring gradually in all countries of the world, the normal flow of life has been replaced by "new normals" in a short time. In Turkey, the first cases were identified in an individual contact with the Chinese origin of an employee on March 11, 2020. In a short time it has made in all provinces in Turkey seen Covidien-19 outbreak of the required new measures and restrictions and the 'new normal' s began to continue with life. Coronovirus disease mortality has brought into consideration a very important issue over time: this disease affects one population more, and this is the population of the elderly. In this context, each state has introduced measures, restriction decisions and social service interventions for the elderly, who are a disadvantaged group as a necessity of being a social state. The information it considered a disaster of epidemics light of this study in Turkey Covidien-19 pandemics in the special needs of the group called the evaluation of social services positions across the disasters of the elderly and the services provided to the elderly living in nursing homes by they were intended to be criticizing. Within the scope of the field research, in-depth interviews were conducted with 14 participants who were staying in "Amasya Suluova Hacı Muammer Koca Huzurevi Yaşlı Bakım ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezi". In line with the purpose of the research, the categories were determined by examining the collected data. Content analysis technique was used to interpret the data. As a result, the research, the effect of the Covid-19 outbreak and the general mood, loneliness, anxiety, social life and the Covid-19 pandemic and social service, the view of the social service provided within the scope of Covid-19, and the elderly individuals staying in the nursing home from whom they received the most support in this process and tried to be interpreted together under 12 main headings as the differences between the elderly living in their own homes.
