Abstract (EN)

Investor relations is a strategic function that combines finance, communications and compliance to ensure effective communication between a company and its investors, promote transparency, build investor confidence and ensure regulatory compliance. The purpose of this study is to provide recommendations for companies seeking to improve their investor relations functions. By aiming to improve the functions of investor relations; it aims to contribute to making it more financially stable and effective. This study aims to compare the most effective and beneficial practices of investor relations of companies in two different developed and developing market conditions in line with the financial objectives of the companies that are the subject of the thesis. The study was conducted on a total of 60 companies traded on Borsa Istanbul and London Stock Exchange. While analysing the content of the websites, financial result disclosure criteria and annual reports of the companies subject to the study, scorecard evaluation questions prepared by TUYID were used. The findings of the study reveal that while basic principles such as transparency, consistency and accountability are universally valued, the implementation of investor relations best practices varies significantly depending on factors such as market development and regulatory requirements. It is concluded that the London Stock Exchange companies have a more effective compliance profile, with more emphasis on the investor relations practices mentioned in the content than the practices of the companies in the comparison.
