The flora of Yaylım Chain Mountains and its surroundings (Solhan-Genç /Bingöl)

As a result of the evaluation of 4115 vascular plant samples collected from Solhan and Genç district between 2018-2023. A total of 990 taxa (843 species, 105 subspecies and 42 varieties) belonging to 75 families and 381 genera were determined. Three of the determined taxa belong to Pteridophyta and 987 belong to Magnoliophyta. One of Magnoliophyta is Gymnospermae, and 986 of them are Angiospermae. Of the Angiospermae taxa, 189 are Monocotyledones and 797 are Dicotyledones. The distribution of the detected taxa to the phytogeographic regions is as follows; Iran-Turan 341 (34,44%), Euro-Siberian 102 (10.30%), Mediterranean 62 (6.26%), and 485 (49%) multi-regional or unknown phytogeographical region. The top 10 families containing the most taxa are respectively; Asteraceae 131 (13.23%), Poaceae 109 (11.01%), Fabaceae 95 (9.60%), Lamiaceae 69 (6.97%), Caryophyllaceae 64 (6.47%), Brassicaceae 60 (6.06%), Rosaceae 38 (3.84%), Apiaceae 34 (3.43%), Boraginaceae 34 (3,43%) and Plantaginaceae 26 (2.63%). The top 10 genera containing the most taxa are respectively; Astragalus 25 (2.53%), Trifolium 24 (2.42%), Carex 14 (1.41%), Bromus 13 (1.31%), Polygonum 13 (1.31%), Ranunculus 13 (1.31%), Allium 13 (1.31%), Salvia 13 (1.31%), Silene 13 (1.31%) and Veronica 12 (1.21%). IUCN threated categories distributions of 101 endemic taxa detected in the research area are as follows; 14 taxa Critical Endangered (CR), 10 taxa Endangered (EN), 10 taxa Vulnerable (VU), six taxa Near Threatened (NT), 57 taxa Least Concern (LC) and four taxa for which danger category is not specified. The 79 taxa collected from the study area are new records for B8 square. In the samples of 27 taxa collected from the area, some differences were detected from their definitions in the Flora of Turkey. Two new taxa (Ranunculus solhanensis Behçet & A.Sinan) have been determined for the scientific world in the research area. Keywords: Flora, Endemic, Solhan, Genç, Bingöl.
