Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to analyze how secondary school students having the habit of writing, acquired their writing habits and the factors that lead them to write. The universe of this research consisted of 10th Grade students studying in high schools in the city of Kırşehir( Prof.Dr. İlhan Kılıçözlü High School – Kırşehir Ahi Evran Anatolian High School – Kırşehir Social High School). The workgroup consisted of 49 students. In this study, content analysis was performed on the opinions of secondary school students having the habit of writing, about their reasons of writing. As a result of the research, it was seen that the teacher effect is in the first place regarding the gain of writing habit. Psychological reasons, family encouragement, reading habits, need for recreation, competitions andpersonal interest were found to come after teacher encouragement. In the light of the obtained data, suggestions were made for the students to gain the habit of writing and to sustain this habit. Keywords: Language, Writing Skills, Writing Habit
