Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine and evaluate the views of parents based on ?education level?, ?occupation?, and ?income level? parameters of the 2005 elementary education science and technology curriculum.This study was implemented in 2007-2008 academic year by selecting 350-random-picked-parent in the city of Afyonkarahisar. As an evaluation form a survey with two sections were applied. In the first section there were questions to learn parents? education, occupation, and income levels and in the second section with 32 questions, there was a query to identify parents? performance and project tasks, curriculum, source book, and school ? family cooperation related with the science and technology courses.For the data derived from this survey one-way variance analysis and descriptive statistics were utilized. According to the findings some results were reached. According to the parents? education level parameter differences on performance and project tasks, curriculum, source book use, and school ? family cooperation were found. Related with the parents? occupation status and income level parameters discrepancies among views on performance and project tasks evalnation, curriculum evalnation, source bonk usage and school-family cooperation were noticed.
