Özet (EN)
New media technologies, which have emerged with the developing digital environments, are rapidly adapted in many areas of daily life and come to the fore with their highly accessible, interactive, innovative and ever-changing structure, unlike the limited practices brought by traditional media, and help to produce innovative solutions in the areas where they are used. In the field of art, many contemporary artists use new media technologies as a tool or production space in their production practices. They can experience different forms of expression by eliminating the limitations in their production, and they can create a bond between their works and their visitors by producing interactive works with new forms of expression. In addition, new media technologies strengthen the relationship between the artwork-visitor-space trilogy by taking a physical place not only in artwork production practices but also in art spaces, adding a new dimension to the experience of space. In this thesis, the effects of new media technologies on the experience of space are analyzed and the transformation of art spaces and how this transformation is reflected on art and its perceiver are examined. Considering the importance of the historical, cultural and artistic values of museum spaces, it is emphasized that museums should be open to innovation by following the present day to ensure their sustainability as dynamic, interactive and educational structures that catch up with the age through examples that successfully provide this integration. By limiting this research to archaeological museums, a limited field study was carried out to evaluate the importance of archaeological artefact finds and the effects of these deficiencies on the visitor experience by continuing with the example of Antalya Archaeology Museum by noticing the deficiencies of information and adaptation with technology in the Ceramic Works Hall of the museum. In the study, data was collected by utilizing methods such as documentation, observation and questionnaire. In line with the data obtained, it has been understood that new media technologies enrich art spaces in terms of form and content and bring a new dimension; and with the results of the survey applied in Antalya Archaeological Museum, it has been understood that improvements should be made especially in the Ceramic Works Hall and an initial digital kiosk proposal suitable for the selected area has been developed.
