Abstract (EN)

Every day, a new ones is added to the examples of evil events in new media, which affect people's lives negatively and may lead to serious consequences, up to suicides. This situation now also occupies the public, news bulletins frequently publish bad news on new media, and governments try to impose sanctions on platform providers in order to make legal arrangements. This study, which focuses on the reproduction of evil produced by users in new media platforms, primarily aims to identify and define that type of evil. While doing this, the nature of new media technologies and the possibilities offered to users are also taken into consideration. Secondly, the transformation of the user activated with Web 2.0 technology and resulting author position is examined through Barhtes and Foucault's discussion of the modern authoer. In the first part of the study was handled according to the types of evil, in the second part the transformation of the new media user and in the third part the type and sub-branches of cyber evil were analyzed. The theoretical framework on this study, which designed as a qualitative research, is based on the theory of Social Constructivism. Within the scope of the study, Fairclough's critical discourse analysis was chosen as the data analysis method. Başaran Holding Jet Accident was chosen as the case for discourse analysis. The data were collected using the screenshot method from the social networking platform Twitter, where the evil is clearly visible in the new media. As a result of the research, the type of evil that occurs in the new media has been evaluated as a cyber evil under the category of moral evil, and it has been divided into sub-branches as cyber violence and cyber bullying. In addition, the new media user is defined as a new type of writer who produces and publishes content and receives feedback within the boundaries drawn by new media platforms.
