Abstract (EN)
Cancer is one of the leading causes of death. Colorectal cancer is the third most common type of cancer seen in our country and its incidence is increasing. Today, methods such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy used for the treatment of cancer have limited effectiveness and cause many side effects. Emphasizes the importance of discovering alternative, complementary and combination drugs and therapies for cancer treatment through clinical, epidemiological and experimental research. Colorectal cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancer types. Despite the development of new drugs and treatments against cancer, human colon cancer is one of the most common types of cancer and its metastasis is still highly morbid. In this thesis study, the synergistic effects of combinations of HSP90 inhibitor MPC-3100, an important target for drug design to develop new therapeutic approaches to HT-29 (colorectal adenocarcinoma) human cancer cells, and EGCG, the most abundant catechin in green tea, on colorectal cancer, were investigated and evaluated by in-vitro experiments. The antiproliferative activities of the active substances against HT-29 (colon) cancer cell lines were examined by XTT tests. According to all these results, it is considered as a new alternative way for the treatment of colorectal cancer and is a promising approach in the treatment of target-specific cancer, and it is thought that it will provide a new perspective in the development of less harmful treatment methods by reducing the cytotoxic effect on the people who will be treated with the natural compound to be used.
