In this study, it was obtained that an amino azo dyes (p-aminoazobenzen) synthesized using aniline as the coupling component. The new esteramide (compound 2) including a azo group was synthesized from reaction of the amidation-like between this amino azo dyes and diethyl squarate. Also, an esteramide (compound 1) bearing N- izopropil amino group was synthesized with reaction of the amidation-like which has missing literature. Chemical structures of the compounds were determined using spectroscopic methods (FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C- NMR) and the effects of solvent on their absorption spectra were examined.Keyword: azo dye, dietyl squarate, diazotization, spectroscopy
