Abstract (EN)

In the study titled "The Typologies Of Beloved In Modern Turkish Poetry (1860-1960)", the types of beloveds were examined over the poems of 96 poets over 100 years. The printed works of the poets were examined, and the compilation studies created to bring together all the poems of the related poet were also taken into consideration. In the "Introduction" part, the thesis's aim, scope and method are discussed in detail, and its difference and necessity from similar studies on the same subject are explained. In the First Chapter, "type in literary work" and "beloved type" are emphasized to create a theoretical ground for poetry studies, and in order to summarize the consequence of the beloved type in Turkish poetry, the characteristics of the beloved type of classical poetry and the discussions around this type are included. The Second, Third and Fourth Chapters contain the analysis of the poems that form the basis of the thesis. Poets have been studied in periods only individually. In the Fifth Chapter, which constitutes the last part of the thesis, the beloveds were classified thematically. The deficiencies created by considering the poets individually in a chronological flow were closed. During the examinations, auxiliary sources such as memoirs, literary history and articles were used, provided that they were enlightening; however, the main starting point was the texts of poetry. Because in this thesis, it is not about revealing the love stories of the poets based on the poems but the determination of the beloveds who find their place in the poetry genre.
