Abstract (EN)

In the current competitive environment, companies are under constant pressure to develop new products and services in response to the changing needs of customers. New product or service development is a complex and difficult task, so it has become inevitable to identify the factors that lead to success in order to reduce risk. In this way, companies are not only successful, but also gain continuity in the market and leave a positive image in the eyes of consumers. Since 2001, Technoparks in Turkey were first established in industrialized cities with well-established universities and human capital potential. While the number of Technoparks in Turkey is increasing, their role and effectiveness on the regional innovation and development target is also increasing. The essence of the formation of such structures is to promote economic development both in the country and in the region, to accelerate the transition from an industrial society to a knowledge and information society, to facilitate easier and faster commercialization of scientific ideas and information. The aim of the study is to present a scale proposal to determine the success factors of new products/services according to the data obtained from the company managers affiliated with Technopolises. In line with our purpose, companies affiliated to Technopolises in Turkey were selected as a sample. A questionnaire was applied to 392 company managers between October 2020 and May 2021. SPSS 20 and AMOS 21 package programs were used for data analysis. As a result of Explanatory Factor Analysis (EFA), 5 Factors were determined and these factors were named as "Product Structure", "Project Activities", "Market Competition" and "Market Attractiveness". Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was applied to the obtained data and it was determined that EFA and CFA were parallel and it was a reliable and valid scale for determining new product success factors. The results of the research are guiding the companies in Turkey and the academicians who are interested in the subject.
