Abstract (EN)

In Early Republican Period, industrial buildings serving to development of country in new capital city Ankara and first samples of related social facilities were built. Today, keeping of these buildings alive that are appreciated as industrial heritage has an important role on sustainability of city culture. Change in system of production and consumption, obligations of financial, political and technological development, spatial and functional obsolescences help keeping industrial buildings in city life.which became insufficient. Different attitudes are seen in refunctioning applications that contain reusage and transformation. Different applications and interferences aimed at buildings that have historical, economical, cultural values, varies as per buildings' value, function structural specialty and architect's design sometimes cause conclusions which affect unique identity and values of the buildings negatively. In conservation of heritage values of industrial heritage which is to be refunctioned, contribution to process of decision of suitable attitudes has been targetted by using Analytical Hierachy Process (AHP) which allows choosing of numerical survey instead of subjective attitudes which are unmeasurable and difficult to define Two industrial buildings that have been built in Early Republican Period in Ankara and are being used in different functions at the present time are the fields of study. These are Ataturk Tree Farm Wine Distillery and Railway Depots. In this study which is targetting extracting the values that buildings gained after decision of refunctioning by using numerical data, written and visual resources have been accessed belong to unique and current conditions of both buildings. With the data gained, an online assessment model has been prepared to present 10 different decision makers consisting of specialist architects and interior architects. In this two phased model, unique and current conditions of the buildings have been evaluated. In this presented study, the evaluations have been carried out by using numerical data regarding the unique identities of industrial buildings and preservation applications that were developed in the direction of refunctioning.
