Abstract (EN)

Yenisei inscriptions are gravestones estimated to have been erected between the 8th and 10th centuries. These inscriptions, one of the oldest written examples of Turkish, reflect the language features of Orkhon Turkish. Therefore, examing these inscriptions in terms of sound, from and sentence knowledge will contribute to the researchers who will study in old Turkish. The thesis consists of introduction, phonetics, morphology, sentence information and conclusion sections. In the introduction, the discovery of the Yenisei inscription, the studies on the Yenisei inscription and the list of the inscriptions are given. In the phonetics section, the spelling rules and phonetic events are tried to be shown by considering the language characterist of the old Turkish language. In the figure and sentence information sections, they are divided into related sub-headings and examined in accordance with examples from the inscriptions. In the conclusion part, the findings obtained as a result of the examination were tried to be given. In our thesis, Erhan Aydın's book Yenisei ınscriptions, which is the most comprehensive study on Yenisei inscriptions, is taken as the basis. This study includes the inscriptions named E 1-154 situated in Yenisei region anda re not numbered. Key Words: Old Turkic, Yenisei Inscriptions, Phonetics, Morphology, Sentence Knowledge.
