Abstract (EN)
An uninterrupted and reliable electrical power transmission and distribution system is an inevitable prerequisite for the technological and economic growth of any nation. Therefore, utilities should strive to ensure that customer reliability requirements are met and regulatory requirements are met at the lowest possible cost. It's a well-known fact around the world that 90% of customer service interruptions are due to delivery system failures. The cost of losses incurred by consumers and the public as a result of power cuts is a value that reveals the importance of reliability. Therefore, reliability should be considered in electrical planning and investment applications. Reliability is the probability of a system performing a defined task in a given time period. In order to perform a reliability analysis, it is necessary to know data such as the frequency of failures, representing the transition between operating and failing states of the system, the repair speed representing the transition from fail to operating state, and the mean time between repairs and failures, and the mean time between failures, experienced in the system's uptime to date. Considering that electrical power systems have power generation, transmission and distribution functions, in this thesis, reliability analysis is performed on the distribution system in a region, focusing on reliability in distribution. Reliability calculations were made based on the number and duration of the interruptions in the year the city network was overhead and the year it was underground, over the power outages in the transformers with a voltage of 33/0.4 kV in the Cumhuriyet and Şirinevler Districts of Batman Province. While making these comparisons, reliability indices such as SAIDI, SAIFI and CAIDI were calculated and the resulting changes were evaluated. With the calculations made on real data, the superiority of the underground electrical system in terms of reliability compared to the overhead electricity system has been mentioned.
