Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to evaluate the political life of Kastamonu from the local press on some specific dynamics that emerged during the research between 1928 and 1950. This research was conducted by examining Açıksöz, Dikkat, Doğrusöz, Kastamonu and Yeni Ses newspapers from the local press. The newspapers in the districts were not examined. This is due to the fact that the provincial center newspapers are closer to the events of the period, and that the information is more convenient than the district newspapers. In the parts where the information is incomplete, the documents of the Prime Ministry Republic Archive and the information in the research works are given. As a method of examining the information in newspapers, political news in daily printing periods of newspapers were analyzed and information was collected. During the course of this examination, the organization, political and administrative activities of the political parties and the administrative, social and cultural activities of the parties; the electoral events of the period and the activities of the deputies were discussed. This study does not include biographies of deputies, governors and mayors who have played a role in political life. During the course of this research, not only political data but also sources related to economic and social areas were found. There were many reports about economic issues in newspapers and advertisements were also given. There are errors in the articles in the newspapers as the transition to Latin letters cannot be achieved after the letter revolution. There are also many words in the newspapers that were not used at the time. Researchers working in the period should evaluate these words within the term conditions.
