This study investigates the demand and supplyof drinking water from the perspective of economic and financial sides. The theoretical,practical and international experience of rationing drinking water demand by using price areexplained.In the theoretical part of the thesis, the theory of drinking water finance is explained.financing and pricing methods of urban drinking water are given in detail. Moreoverinstitutional and financial structure of drinking water sector is explained.In the empirical part of the thesis, the drinking water supply of AfyonkarahisarMunicipality is investigated. The issues, future projects, constructions, supply, distribution,pricing of drinking water in Afyonkarahisar are all examined. This analysis is carried outunder the lights of national and international experience.
