Abstract (EN)

The rapid increase in the population of the world and the corresponding increase in needs, the adequacy of our resources, contain threats and risks in terms of the clean and livable natural environment. Buildings around the world and in our country are significantly responsible for energy consumption and greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere. Interest in sustainable structures that aim to find solutions to such problems is also increasing. In this thesis, it aims to recognize sustainability, green buildings and energy analysis programs and to examine the effects of these analyzes on the building. In this study, a sample building located at Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University Gölköy campus was analyzed using carrier HAP hourly analysis program; with the change of insulation thicknesses (3-4 and 5 cm) and glass properties. Analyzes were made for CAV (constant air flow ventilation), VAV (variable air flow ventilation) and FCU (Fan Coil Unit) systems, which are appropriate for the type of building. The ratio of reduction in energy consumption, energy consumption costs and CO2 emissions of the 6 situations created for these three systems, according to the situation where the building is not insulated, has been analyzed. The initial investment costs were calculated and the payback periods were evaluated comparatively. It was concluded that the annual energy consumption of these systems would decrease by up to 11% and 20%, respectively, only by changing the insulation thickness, and by up to 18% and 31%, respectively, by changing the type of glass together with the insulation thickness. In terms of the annual energy consumption costs of these systems would decrease by up to 9% and 16%, respectively, only by changing the insulation thickness, and by up to 15% and 27%, respectively, by changing the type of glass together with the insulation thickness. In terms of the annual CO2 emissions of these systems would decrease by up to 9,8% and 15,4%, respectively, only by changing the insulation thickness, and by up to 16,4% and 25,6%, respectively, by changing the type of glass together with the insulation thickness.
